it's been a while, but i'm still here

i've done a poor job with updating this blog. i have created many things...but just haven't posted. i need to do better.

i made my friend amy a lunchbag (shown below). made out of fabric that my friend gary designed.

booo to pixelation!!

i'm starting to be a little bit more content with taking pictures on my dslr...i'm still only good with still life...i haven't quite gotten the hang of portraits...which is something i want to practice more of...that and landscape. this flower is a great picture...minus the pixelation problem.



this is from the okinawa fair. pretty small but eventful fair. next fair is the summer fair...i'm planning on going if the weather permits.

updates on simple projects

finish product of a very simple woven dress. sometimes it's too hot outside and i just feel like putting something light weight on...here it is...add a little belt and necklace and good to go!


simple shirt...not sure if i like it or not. something simple but different.


here it is upclose. neckline works perfect on me.


update on dress...i took the second neck binding out...didn't really like it. it was an idea better in my head. dress has pockets on the side. i need to put artwork on here...must still consult with bff about this.

another dress

massive amounts of fabric...here's a lilac single jersey knit eating up my floor.


after cutting up all the pieces...nice little folded up pile of fabric.


somewhat end results. i'm not sure if i'm pleased with this or not...i have to see what it actually looks like on me. this dress has pockets and i'm not sure the length of it yet. this dress is almost complete...i have to hem it and i will probably add some embroidery artwork on the wearer's left chest or something...i'm not sure. must consult with bff about this.

cleaning up

i started cleaning up my room/area and i have crazy amounts of hardware, fabrics, zippers, and buttons, etc.

sewing more...but never posted...i will.

i heart danku

i read on danny seo's blog about this place. twinA and i went this past friday and it was great!! the people there are soooo nice...and it's a genuine nice...it's something different in a very busy city. i have a feeling i will be going again this week. :) hopefully the weather is nice and i can have a few friends for a danku picnic!! :)
